Join us Saturday, June 14 from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.
at the EMU Student Center!

From Thomas Jefferson’s arguments for the Bill of Rights to Martin Luther King’s stirring exhortations for the Civil Rights Act, Democrats have always been the party of the people. This year, as we look forward to new leadership in the White House, the Washtenaw County Democratic Party invites you to join us at our annual dinner for a celebration of our ongoing commitment to the issues, the policies and the causes that put people first!

Join union leaders who brought us the minimum wage and the 40-hour work week. Hobnob with environmentalists who have protected the Great Lakes. Break bread with the activists who fight every day for women’s equality and LGBT rights.

It’s going to be a great night, and it won’t be the same without you! Sign up today and help us build the energy and people power we need to put our country back on track!

Speaking Frankly (Barney, that is)

Our keynote speaker, the Honorable Barney Frank is no stranger to tough progressive fights. As chairman of the powerful Financial Services Committee, this Massachusetts Democrat is leading the effort to insulate families from mortgage foreclosure. An advocate for medical marijuana rights, LGBT equity and the ousting of lobbyists from the Congressional gym, Chairman Frank rarely shies away from controversy.

The witty and self-deprecating twenty-seven year veteran of Congressional battles is always ready quip or a poke at partisan hypocrisy. In 2006, DC staffers named him the “brainiest”, “funniest” and “most eloquent” member of the House.

When Mr. Frank takes the floor at this year’s dinner, we are in for a treat!

Be a Part of a Great Evening!

A win in Washtenaw can bring Democratic leadership to Michigan and the White House! For years, we have provided the margin of victory for Democrats running statewide and for national office. When we turn out, Democrats win!

This year, we need to hold our swing state for the Democratic nominee for President and snag the 7th Congressional district to add to the majority that is fighting to reverse a decade of corporate welfare and selfish disregard for the plight of our nation’s struggling families.

Dinner tickets this year are $70.  If you volunteer to spend 10 hours supporting the WCDP's election mobilization efforts, we'll cut that price in half.  Program book ads run from $25 to list your name as a sponsor up to $5,000 for the centerfold or back cover.

Our plan needs your support! Your dollars will buy the materials our campaigners need. Your volunteer hours will mobilize the votes that will make the difference in November!
